Why should you have an onboarding process? Today, simple recruitment is no longer enough. The integration process is necessary to make employees want to stay in the organization. Optimizing the integration of new employees not only improves their first days and their well-being in the company, but also ensures long-term loyalty by building a favorable and inspiring image of the company that will make them want to contribute to the success of the company. 5 tips to optimize the integration of new employees 1. Install the desktop Before the new employee walks through the door, the first day of work should be as organized as possible. Managers should have an onboarding plan in advance for employees to learn their job obligations as well as, for example, a briefing note to inform them of company policies and procedures. Send a copy to each team member participating in the onboarding process and be sure to schedule a meeting with the person. You should also share this agenda with your new hire before they start. Create digital communication channels Whether you work remotely or not, using internal communication tools is essential. Creating communication channels promotes team
cooperation and work efficiency. For this reason, you should provide new employees with access to various business platforms, such as email, video conferencing, and chat applications with the team leader and project manager. The integration hardware package must contain: A team video – a video from all departments. A CEO video – this could be a formal presentation highlighting the CEO's accomplishments, how he works, etc. Or you can take it to the next level and personalize it by having the CEO introduce himself in a short video. A company overview video – company policies and procedures for new hires.Tutorials/demo videos – videos explaining different features. A video on privacy – the process of transferring and sharing data with employees. A company culture video – to help an employee understand what it's like to work at your organization. 4. Provide a mentor Whether the new employee joins the team in the office or remotely, it is essential to orient them and ensure that they understand their roles and responsibilities. Providing a mentor will help motivate and coordinate employees.
